Instead of wanting to be an astronaut, racing driver or footballer, when David was asked what he wanted to do when he grew up, he said he wanted to draw. And draw he did.

Brushing aside the traditional subjects such as the Maths, the English and even the Sciences, David pursued a creative focus throughout his schooling years.

The turning point!

On came 1997 and it was time for David to go to university. That he did; eyes wide open, he went to the University of Derby to study Art. Unaware of this at the time, this was to become a defining moment and a life changing experience. Unfortunately for David, he enjoyed university life too much and failed his first year for what can only be described as the lack of attendance.

Undeterred by this setback he went on to the University of Reading to study Typography. Yet again much to the annoyance to his family, he spent more time participating in extra curricular activities and failed again!

Having never doubted his own ability, David decided to give it the 3rd go (hence why this agency is called what it is) and went on to the University of Hertfordshire to study a multimedia course. You can see where this is going now can’t you! However on this occasion, David pulled his finger out and was determined to succeed. He attended lectures, took legible notes and did his coursework. David went on to pass his first, second and final year with flying colours.

On leaving behind his student life, albeit with the occasional lapse, David embarked on a freelance designer career. Having fine-tuned his abilities to the rigors of real life creative design, David went on to set up 3rd Time Media with Will Barlow.

In the opinion of others, David has a natural gift when it comes to online creative and design, David is too modest to hold such an opinion. His all-round design knowledge allows David to quickly establish the initial ideas, layout, animation style, colour scheme and the use of supporting images, icons or photographs. As the design ideas come to life he always hits the mark.
