CTAs
Don't hide them, make them big and place them above and below the fold.
Colour of CTAs
Keep the colour of the CTAs a separate colour to the rest of the page, this helps users to more easily identify the CTA
Heading
Keep them as short as possible, but you must tell visitors what the site offers
Content
The top of the page needs to talk to the users that are visiting the site with the single purpose of engaging with your business. You don't want to lose these visitors, the hard work is already done. Beneath this, the page must continue to convince those users that have not yet made up their mind.
Test and Learn
Testing, learning, testing and learning will give you the best picture on how your visitors are engaging with your website and landing page. At the beginning there are likely to be larger elements to optimise, but over-time the amends will become only small tweaks.
