3RD TIME MEDIA DESIGNS CAMPAIGN MICRO-SITE FOR IBUYECO'S LAUNCH OFPARK(ing) DAY IN THE UK

18 September 2008

PARK(ing) Day is an annual, global event with the aim to temporarily reclaim parking spaces for the public's enjoyment by converting the spaces into public parks.

London September 2009 – Digital Marketing Agency 3rd Time Media has designed and developed the campaign micro-site to support the launch of ibuyeco's PARK(ing) Day campaign in the UK, www.ibuyeco-parkingday.co.uk. Ibuyeco is a provider of eco car & home insurance.

PARK(ing) Day is coming to the UK for the first time and is being brought to Britain by eco car insurance provider ibuyeco and US art collective Rebar. PARK(ing) Day UK is the first official, nationwide event of its kind in the UK and is part of International PARK(ing) Day – an annual, one-day, global event where artists, activists and members of the public collaborate to temporarily convert paid-for parking spots into beautiful green spaces.

3rd Time Media won the pitch to design and develop the campaign micro-site to support the launch of the event in the UK. The micro-site is being delivered within two phases. Phase One will focus on the launch of the event and begin generating awareness in the project. While phase two, launched on September 11, will deliver the social media elements of the campaign, allowing participants in the event across the UK and around the world share their experiences of the day and upload their own videos.

Head of ibuyeco, Lucy Bailey says, "PARK(ing) Day UK as a great way to highlight important environmental issues – and a great way to get together and have fun while deliver an important message. I'm thrilled with the campaign site delivered by 3rd Time Media, the site delivers everything we need to launch and promote the PARK(ing) Day campaign in the UK."

David Chan, Creative Director at 3rd Time Media said: "Ibuyeco is a fun brand which I always enjoy working with and the PARK(ing) Day project has been a fun and interesting project from the first moment I heard about it. It's great to take an event such as this and play a part in generating public awareness in such activities."
